Klimentina Jauleska is a New York based artist, born in Struga, Macedonia. She received her BFA in Painting/Drawing at the University of Fine Arts “St. Cyril and Methodius”, Skopje, Macedonia, in the class of professor and renowned artist Antoni Maznevski.
After her acceptance at the MFA program in Studio Arts at Montclair State University in NJ, she was awarded a full two-year merit-based scholarship.
During her studies and upon graduation Jauleska has exhibited her work internationally in a number of group and individual shows in Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, Turkey, Czech Republic, Germany, Belgium, and the USA.
Some of her group exhibitions include shows at: White Box Gallery in NY, NY, Amos Eno Gallery in DUMBO, NY, Museum of Contemporary Art in Skopje, Macedonia. Solo Exhibitions include that at: Radiator Gallery in LIC, NY, Finley Gallery in Montclair, NJ, Public Room in Skopje, Macedonia, Cutting Off, MKC, Skopje, Macedonia etc. She was a recipient of the ESKFF Residency at MANA Contemporary in Jersey City, NJ in 2016.
Her visual narrative falls into minimalistic and conceptual aesthetics. While blurring the boundaries between two and three-dimensional spaces she creates sculptural installations and mixed media paintings. She often repurposes recycled materials like furniture and clothes — objects that are often charged with emotional projections, with the intention to portray a personal history.
